Library Policy of Uttoron

Uttoron runs Bengali movie(VCD/DVD) and Book library for it’s members with no commercial interest.

Eligibility to use Library facility
Only current Uttoron members with good standing can use the library free of cost. Currently non members are not allowed to use the library.Membership period for library purposes will be considered from Saraswati Pujo to Saraswati Pujo as most members renew membership during Saraswati Pujo.

Number of items that can be borrowed
At any point of time no more than 4 library items (maximum of 2 Movies & maximum of 2 books) can be issued to any member.

Period of Use
All items borrowed from the library must be returned by 4 weeks.Items must be returned to the librarian directly (please see contact details of our librarians below) .

How to borrow items
Members can borrow library items from the library booth during our yearly programs Saraswati Puja, Boisakhi, Summer Picnic and Durga Puja . You can also borrow directly from our librarians with prior appointment (please see contact details of our librarians below) . Books can be borrowed only by prior appointment with the librarian.

How to return items
All items borrowed must be returned within the due dates.Items should be returned directly to the librarian with prior appointment.

Please call or write to the librarian to return items.If within due dates you can also return items to the library booth at our annual events of Saraswati Puja,Boisakhi ,Picnic and Durga Puja.

Overdue Items
Keeping library items over their due dates prevents other members from using the same.Defaulters may loose the right to borrow in the future.

Lost or Damaged Items
If an item is lost or damaged by a member, it has to be replaced or the cost of the items lost including shipping charges must be paid to the librarian by the member. If items are not returned after 3 months of checked out date, we will consider it lost and member will be liable for replacement/money back.
